Our Story

our Story

Beach Bible Church began as the Evangelical Free Church of Huntington Beach back in 1963 in a living room in Huntington Beach. With a passion for the faithful preaching of God's Word, that small band of people founded the church you see today.

From the beginning, the church has had a strong commitment to the needs of our world.  Before Wycliffe Bible Translators moved their offices, Beach Bible Church and Wycliffe shared a campus. After Wycliffe moved their headquarters, Beach Bible Church has maintained their commitment to serving beyond its walls, with a large portion of their giving going to work and ministry outside the church.

Huntington Beach has changed a lot over the years, and the church with it. Like every church, Beach Bible has had various seasons. Yet, our values to faithfully preach God's Word and actively serve the world remain the same.

In 2017, we called Pastor Mike Kaylani to take us into the next season. With a desire to carry on the legacy of faithful proclamation of God's good news and commitment to God's Word, our goal today is to:

"Extend loving community to our neighbors who need it

with the grace and truth of Christ."
